Reliability Adjustment Factor Calculation
Return to Reliability Adjustment Factors Calculator
The Reliability Analytics Toolkit slightly modifies some reliability adjustment factors in the Rome Laboratory Reliability Engineer's Toolkit, which were all rounded to one decimal place to reduce implied accuracy. The on-line version uses the reciprocal of the largest factor when converting between a pair of environments. For example, to convert from AUF to GB, the MTBF in the AUF environment is multiplied by 14.1. To convert back from GB to AUF, the original toolkit indicates that the GB MTBF should be multiplied by 0.1; however, this tool multiplies by 1/14.1. This correction is used for all adjustment factors published in the original Rome Lab Toolkit.
The table below shows a further modification to the above temperature conversion factors, providing interpolation of the temperature factors to five degree increments.
